Our Story
Built on Craft. Driven by Passion.
Realistic Mounts has been a trusted name in taxidermy for over 30 years. Every mount that leaves our studio is a testament to the hunt, the animal, and the art of preservation.
The Background
Where It Started
Realistic Mounts was founded in the early 1990s by a lifelong hunter who believed that a trophy deserved more than a mediocre mount.
Over the decades, I have preserved hundreds perhaps thousands of trophies — from record-book whitetails to once-in-a-lifetime elk, to rare upland birds. Each one received the same level of care and attention as the first.
You deal directly with the people doing the work — no middlemen, no outsourcing, no surprises. When you drop off your trophy, you'll meet the hands that will preserve it.

Our Principles
How We Work
Transparency
You'll receive a firm quote before any work begins. No hidden fees, no surprises at pickup.
Communication
We provide progress updates throughout the process. You'll never be left wondering where your mount stands.
Craftsmanship
Every mount is hand-finished in my studio. We don't rush the work — quality takes the time it takes.
Respect for the Animal
We treat every specimen with the care and respect it deserves. Your trophy represents a real moment — we honor that.
Come See the Studio
We welcome clients to visit by appointment. Drop off your trophy, see our work in person, and talk through your vision with the people who will bring it to life.
